Chestertown Police

BURGLARY. Brandon Donzel Gross, 27, Chestertown, on April 9, was served a summons for burglary, fourth-degree dwelling. The offense is alleged to have occurred Feb. 23 in the 400-block of Calvert Street.

THEFT. Officer Mary McLaughlin is investigating a theft of a license plate from a trailer in the 500-block of Washington Avenue. The theft was reported April 16.

THEFT. Officer Mary McLaughlin is investigating a theft of a license plate from a vehicle in the 300-block of Washington Avenue. The theft was reported April 16, but the complainant told police the offense occurred April 2.

 Kent County Sheriff

FTA. Jeffrey Norris, 38, Chestertown, on April 13, was issued two circuit court bench warrants for failure to appear in court. Bail initially was set at $3,000.

FRAUD. DFC Jordan Proudfoot is investigating an April 13 complaint from a Chestertown resident of a check being forged and cashed for an undisclosed amount of money.

MDOP. DFC Collin Shockley is investigating an April 16 complaint of malicious destruction of property (exterior door) at Edesville Park, near Rock Hall. Cost to repair the damage is estimated to be $500, according to a sheriff's office news release.

FTA. Eduardo Padilla, 61, Nanticoke, Pa., on April 16, was issued two circuit court bench warrants for failure to appear in court. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail

FTA. Ewane Mighty Eha Kang, 33, Largo, on April 17, was issued a Queen Anne's County District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He was released on personal recognizance.

ASSAULT. A 30-year-old Chestertown man, on April 17, was transported to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Chestertown for treatment of injuries suffered in an altercation on Woods Edge Drive, near Fairlee. Police are searching for the alleged assailant. Cpl. Scott Lockerman and DFC Collin Shockley were the responding deputies.

FUGITIVE. David Mowrer Fry, 46, Coatesville, Pa., on April 17, was charged with being a fugitive from justice from the state of Pennsylvania. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

ASSAULT. Cpl. Scott Lockerman is investigating a reported assault April 18 in the 30000-block of River Road, near Millington.

FTA. Jason Alan Bozarth, 44, Barclay, on April 19, was issued three circuit court bench warrants for failure to appear in court. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.
