THEFT. Officer Quency Carmon is investigating an Aug. 20 theft in the area of High and Mill streets. Loss is estimated to be less than $500.

THEFT. Officer Quency Carmon is investigating an Aug. 20 theft in the 400-block of East Campus Avenue. Loss is estimated to be less than $300.

ASSAULT. Tevron Brown, 27, Worton, on Aug. 26, was issued a summons for second-degree assault. The offense is alleged to have occurred Aug. 24 on N. Lynchburg Street.

THEFT. Zachary Michael Grundon, 24, Chestertown, on Aug. 25, was issued a district court summons for passing a bad check (two counts); and theft, $100 to less than $1,500. The summons is connected to a Kent County Sheriff's Office case, according to police.

MDOP. Officer Mary McLaughlin is investigating an Aug. 26 complaint of malicious destruction of property in the 100-block of Philosophers Terrace. Cost to repair the damage is estimated to be less than $1,000.

TRUANCY. Amanda Rose Duclos, 30, Rock Hall, on Aug. 27, was issued a district court summons for failure to send a child to school; contribute to the condition of a child; and harbor/employ a child during school hours.

FTA. Taisha Renee Brown, 39, Worton, on Aug. 27, was issued a district court warrant for failure to appear in court. She was released on personal recognizance.

ASSAULT. Jeffrey Dean Boulden, 34, Galena, on Aug. 27, was charged with first- and second-degree assault. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail. The offense is alleged to have occurred in the 100-block of N. Main Street, Galena. According to a sheriff's office news release, Boulden is accused of choking the complainant and causing "serious physical injury" to the her eye. Deputy Kasey Lindecamp investigated.

BURGLARY. Deputy Stacey Shockley is investigating an Aug. 27 burglary in the 7500-block of Sunburst Avenue, near Chestertown. A bicycle was reportedly taken.

BURGLARY. DFC Collin Shockley is investigating an Aug. 29 burglary in the 1000-block of Washington Avenue, Chestertown. A suspect has been identified, according to a sheriff's office news release.

ASSAULT. Nytre Nickae'l Green, 20, Chestertown, on Aug. 29, was issued a district court summons for second-degree assault.

MDOP. DFC Dave Nolan is investigating an Aug. 30 complaint of malicious destruction of property to a motor vehicle in the 8800-block of Georgetown Road, near Fairlee. Cost to repair the damage is estimated to be more than $1,000, according to a sheriff's office news release.

FTA. Christopher Joseph Saindon, 41, Newark, Del., on Aug. 30, was issued two district court bench warrants for failure to appear in court. He was released on $2,500 unsecured bond on one warrant and personal recognizance on the other.

PROBATION. Marquis Lamar Waters, 27, Millington, on Sept. 2, was issued a circuit court arrest warrant charging him with violation of probation. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

DRUGS. A 1-year-old female on Sept. 2 was treated at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Chestertown after accidentally ingesting narcotics while in the custody of a known adult. The Kent County Department of Social Services also is investigating. 

CONTEMPT. Kyle Alexander Tyler Temple, 29, Salisbury, on Sept. 3, was issued seven circuit court arrest warrants charging him with contempt of court. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

BURGLARY. Wayne Lee Embrey Jr., 37, Millington, on Sept. 3, was issued a circuit court arrest warrant charging him with second- and fourth-degree burglary; theft; and malicious destruction of property. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

FTA. Chuckie Lee-Ray Dolan, 41, Greensboro, on Sept. 3, was issued a circuit court body attachment for failure to appear in court. He was released after posting $1,000 bond.

BURGLARY. DFC Michael Piasecki is investigating the theft of money, a gun and other items over several weeks in the 7500-block of Sunburst Avenue, Chestertown. The burglary was reported Sept. 3.

PROBATION. Fonta Ferrell Harris, 41, Chestertown, on Sept. 3, was issued a circuit court petition for violation of probation. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

CONTEMPT. James Alexander Kennard, 34, Millington, on Sept. 4, was issued a district court bench warrant for contempt of court. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

ASSAULT. Vincent Joseph Caputo, 52, Thornton, Pa., on Sept. 5, was charged with disorderly conduct; and two counts of second-degree assault. He was released on $7,500 unsecured bond.

DFC Michael Piasecki responded to Great Oak Landing Marina, near Chestertown, at 11:23 p.m. for a reported assault. During the investigation, police determined that Caputo allegedly made unwanted sexual physical advances toward two women, ages 42 and 49, according to a sheriff's office news release. Caputo allegedly became belligerent with deputies and caused a scene by being disorderly.
