ROCK HALL — Kent County Public Schools has named an interim supervisor of financial operations following the departure of Jane Towers for a position at Delaware State University.

On Sept. 9, the Board of Education approved hiring Robin Landgraf as the interim finance officer, for an amount not to exceed $65,000.

Landgraf, who attended the board meeting, recently retired from Queen Anne’s County Public Schools after three decades of service. She was that district’s finance supervisor.

Superintendent Karen Couch said Landgraf is taking the position while the district conducts a search for Tower’s permanent replacement. Couch said Landgraf agreed to help train the new finance supervisor.

Couch also introduced at the meeting Vandrick Hamlin, who the board approved that night as the district’s new mental health and safety coordinator.
