CENTREVILLE — A Church Hill woman has been charged with distribution of fentanyl/heroin and other offenses related to a fatal overdose this summer in Chester.
The Queen Anne’s County Drug Task Force identified the woman as 27-year-old Katelyn Celeste Usilton.
She is being held in the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center in lieu of $100,000 bond.
Usilton waived her right to a preliminary hearing, according to online court records. Her first court date is Dec. 2 in the District Court for Queen Anne’s County.
Usilton’s arrest came after numerous interviews and issuance of subpoenas and search warrants as part of the investigation of a July 18 death of a 36-year-old man that was the result of fentanyl/opioid intoxication, according to a drug task force news release.
Usilton is accused of supplying the fatal dose of drugs.
In addition to distribution of narcotics, she is charged with possession of narcotics with intent to distribute; possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not marijuana; reckless endangerment; and providing fraudulent information to avoid prosecution.
Usilton was issued a felony arrest warrant on Oct. 6.
