CHESTERTOWN — The market for farm and artisan vendors is returning to the downtown Fountain Park on Saturdays, beginning July 4. The hours are 8 a.m. to noon.

Market manager Julie King said vendors will be spread out between Spring Avenue and Court Street and along Memorial Plaza as needed to meet pandemic safety standards. Social distancing and mask wearing will remain in effect.

Sections of the 200 and 300 blocks of High Street will be closed to parking and traffic from 6:30 a.m. to noon.

Since May 2, the market had been located temporarily in the parking lot at East Coast Storage in the 800 block of High Street.

The Town of Chestertown and King thanked East Coast Storage for allowing the market to set up there for the past eight weeks.
