CHESTERTOWN — Members of the Presbyterian Church of Chestertown Youth Group delivered care packages last month to local post offices.

According to a news release, the care packages were delivered Monday, Jan. 15 in honor of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.

Youth group members assembled the packages “to thank and encourage our busy postal workers in Kent County,” the Rev. Caitlan Quinn Gartland wrote in an email.

The packages were delivered to all 10 post offices in Kent County. They contained snacks, drinks, chapstick, little games and handwritten notes of gratitude and encouragement, the release states.
