EASTON — The YMCA of the Chesapeake has hired Kevin Lindsay as the organization’s first-ever director of strategy and alignment.

In this new position, Lindsay will lead efforts and support staff and volunteers to development strategies that strengthen connections with diverse populations and align the regional YMCA to better reflect the communities it serves across the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia, a news release states.

“I’m excited to welcome Kevin Lindsay to our team,” said Robbie Gill, YMCA of the Chesapeake CEO. “Kevin has a rich history of community impact and has been able to develop strong neighborhood relations through his work with the City of Salisbury, Goodwill Industries, and the Department of Juvenile Services and the Board of Education in Wicomico County and Ocean City. Bringing people and communities together has never been more important to our mission and to the health and well-being of our country, and Kevin is going to be a huge help as we work toward that goal. We can do more and will do more with his leadership.”

Lindsay is a graduate of Salisbury University and lives in Fruitland with his wife Leliya and his two children Keylianna and Xavier.

The YMCA has locations across the Eastern Shore including in Easton. A location in Chestertown is under construction.
