SALISBURY — Several Upper Shore students were recently accepted into Phi Eta Sigma, the national freshman honor society, at Salisbury University.

Zachary Argo, son of James and Kristine Argo of Chestertown, a 2018 graduate of Kent County High School in Worton. He is a sophomore majoring in physics and a member of the intramural volleyball team.

Alexis Kelser, daughter of Herb and Melissa Kelser of Chestertown, and a 2018 graduate of Kent Island High School in Stevensville. She is a sophomore majoring elementary education and is a dean’s list student.

Anna Downs, daughter of Elizabeth and James Downs of Sudlersville, and a 2018 graduate of Queen Anne’s County High School in Centreville. She is a sophomore majoring in nursing and is a dean's list student. She is a member of the Delta Gamma sorority and the Health and Wellness Living Learning Community.

At Salisbury University, some 8,700 students in 43 undergraduate, 15 graduate and two doctoral programs pursue liberal arts and professional degrees.
