EASTON — The League of Women Voters-Mid Shore will hold their annual meeting via Zoom from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18.

The featured speaker will be Tara L. Newman-Bell, president of the Cambridge Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She will discuss her organization’s efforts to get out the vote for the November elections.

The meeting will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote, as well as the 100th anniversary of the creation of the League of Women Voters.

The League will review accomplishments of the past year, including organizing and moderating several candidate forums. Members may vote on the proposed budget, amendments to the by-laws, program positions and goals for the coming year.

Zoom invitations will be sent in advance to all current members of the Mid-Shore League. Others interested in joining the league meeting may request a Zoom invitation by emailing lwvms.md@gmail.com
