DAVIDSONVILLE — Maryland Farm Bureau is offering five $2,000 scholarships for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Applicants must be high school seniors starting college in the fall of 2020 or full time college students at any accredited community college or four-year institution.

Scholarship recipients will be selected by a designated committee of the Maryland Farm Bureau. To apply, students must submit an application online via the official application website. The application includes the following essay question to be answered by each applicant:

“Products like cell-based food products have demonstrated the food system is rapidly changing. How can future food technologies and related products be beneficially integrated into modern agricultural production without hampering the success of traditional products and the farmers and ranchers who grow them?”

Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Feb. 10. For more information or to apply, visit mdfarmbureau.com/scholarships.
