Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Hyland

Kristen Danielle Merrill and Kyle Thomas Hyland were married Aug. 15, 2015 at Emmanuel Church in Chestertown. Vicar F. Darcy Williams, Ph.D., officiated; music was provided by G. Robert Tyson and photography by Geoffrey DeMeritt. A reception at East Fork Farm in Chestertown followed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Merrill, formerly of Chestertown, and now of Greensboro, N.C. She is a graduate of Rider University in Lawrenceville, N.J., with a degree in marketing and business administration. Kristen is a campus relations manager within the Talent Acquisition Team at T. Rowe Price in Baltimore, and is currently pursuing her MBA at Loyola University.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hyland of Annapolis. He is a graduate of the Severn School in Annapolis and The Catholic University in Washington, D.C., with a degree in marketing and business administration. Kyle is a project lead and business development consultant at ReefPoint Group in Annapolis, and is currently pursuing his MBA at Loyola University.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She was attended by her matron of honor, Jennifer Warne of Gaithersburg. Bridesmaids were Nicole Roudiez of Annapolis; Shaela Lawson of Washington, D.C.; Kaitlin Warne of Garden City, N.Y.; Kelly Warne of New York City; and Leigh VanAllen Cleaver of Washington, D.C. The bride’s niece, Campbell Marie Warne, was the flower girl.

The groom chose his brother, Tyler Hyland of Tampa, Fla., as his best man. Groomsmen were Will Dammeyer of Charleston, S.C.; Aaron Lowe of Houston, Texas; Thomas Cleaver III of Washington, D.C.; and Kevin Warne of Gaithersburg.

Readers were godmother of the bride, Joan Spring of Old Forge, N.Y., and godmother of the groom, Lyn Hughes of New York City.

Following their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Baltimore.
