CAMBRIDGE — The Walmart in Cambridge, located at 2775 Dorchester Square, recently wrote on social media that they welcome Accurate Optical patients.
This comes after Accurate Optical in Easton closed its doors in August, without any notice to paying customers. The Accurate Optical in Salisbury was evicted from its location in July.
“Please come in and speak to our professional, and see Opticians today,” Cambridge Walmart wrote in a Facebook post directed to Accurate Optical customers. According to its Facebook page, Walmart accepts all outside prescriptions, and asks customers to bring in their current glasses or contact lens prescription. For more information, call 410-221-0284.
When some visited the Accurate Optical Easton location, formerly located at 220 Marlboro Avenue, they found the doors locked in chains, leaving many angry and mainly confused about the next step for a refund and where they can get their prescriptions filled.
Customers who have been waiting to pick up their eye items range from three weeks to six months, according to social media. Several calls to the Accurate Optical on Kent Island requesting more information about the closure went unanswered.
