CAMBRIDGE — A Cambridge woman faces charges after allegedly threatening to blow up the 911 Center, Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center.

According to Dorchester County Sheriff Jimmy Phillips, on Wednesday, Jan. 6, the Dorchester County 911 Center received a threatening call from an individual. Police said the individual was identified as 29-year-old Monica Leigh Kemp of Chesnut Place.

Phillips said Kemp was taken into custody and charged with making a threat of arson and making a threat of mass violence.

Kemp was ordered held without bond, and is being held in the Dorchester County Detention Center.
