Bayly Road garage burns a third time

The remains of a garage fire burn days after the initial fire destroyed the structure.

CAMBRIDGE — Firefighters responded for the third time to the site of a garage fire on Tuesday, June 8, on Bayly Road in Cambridge.

The fire in the debris of a previously burned garage is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.

The garage initially burned for about four hours before the fire was extinguished on Tuesday, May 25, and firefighters responded the next morning on Wednesday, May 26.

The fire on June 8 was discovered at 4:22 p.m. by a passerby, and 12 firefighters controlled the blaze in about 30 minutes.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office said $1,000 damage was done to the structure, and $100 damage was done to the contents.
