TIMONIUM — Now is the time to pre-register online to compete for ribbons and prizes at the 138th MY Maryland State Fair presented by Toyota.
The fair offers more than 3,000 competition classes for 4-H/FFA members and/or Open Class (general public) to enter. The 2019 Premium Catalog, complete with competitions, schedules, rules, regulations and entry forms, is now online.
To enter your favorite cow, quilt, flower, tomato or other creation, go to www.marylandstatefair.com and follow the easy instructions.
All 4-H, Home Arts, Farm & Garden and Open Class Livestock entries may be entered online. Or print out all entry forms (except 4-H) and mail. Entries must be postmarked and mailed to the Maryland State Fair by 11:59 p.m. July 31.
4-H/FFA members may only enter their exhibits online at www.marylandstate fair.com by 11:59 p.m. July 31. Only Open Class livestock and horse entries require an entry fee that may be made with a credit card on the secured web site.
“Our goal is to make entering the fair less time-consuming and much more convenient,” said Maryland State Fair General Manager Andy Cashman. If an exhibitor does not have access to a computer, they may access the Maryland State Fair Internet site via a computer at the local library.
The 138th MY Maryland State Fair, presented by Toyota, is a fun and educational destination complete with daily exhibits, presentations and entertainment sure to captivate visitors of all ages.
No other event provides so much food, fun, family entertainment and education for so little. The Maryland State Fair, in Timonium in Baltimore County, starts with Ridemania Preview Night, from 5 p.m. to close Thursday, August 22.
Exhibit halls, barns, Midway rides, food, games, and more will be open Friday, Aug. 23 through Monday, Sept. 2.
General fair hours are noon to close Monday to Friday, and 10 a.m. to close Saturdays, Sundays and Labor Day Monday.
