CAMBRIDGE — A Cambridge man faces rape and assault charges after he allegedly threatened a woman with a gun and sexually assaulted her Monday, May 29.
Christopher Michael Hall, 21, of 211 Bryne Street, was arrested by Cambridge police and charged with first-degree rape, first- and second-degree assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a violent crime, reckless endangerment, false imprisonment and malicious destruction of property less than $1,000. Hall is being held at the Dorchester County Detention Center on $950,000 bond.
According to charging documents, Hall and a woman had an argument Sunday night, and the woman saw Hall had a gun in his waistband. Police said the woman described the gun as a black revolver. Police said the woman then went with Hall to his residence against her will.
According to charging documents, Hall tried to kiss the woman in his home, but the woman told him no and to stop. Police said the woman told investigators Hall forced himself on her and raped her. Police said the woman also told investigators Hall broke her phone.
According to charging documents, when investigators interviewed Hall, he admitted to having sexual intercourse with the woman, but said it was consensual.
