CAMBRIDGE — A Cambridge man is facing charges of attempted murder and assault in connection to a reported stabbing Saturday, Nov. 26.
Officers from the Cambridge Police Department responded to the emergency department at the University of Maryland Shore Regional Medical Center at Dorchester on Saturday for a reported assault.
Officers met with the victim, who reported that an altercation had occurred in a residence in the 700 block of Moores Avenue. Police observed two lacerations to the victim’s forehead.
The victim told police James Lorell Zachary Skinner, 47, was the person who stabbed him in the forehead.
Police arrested Skinner on Sunday, Nov. 27, when he was initially ordered held without bond by a district court commissioner. He remains held without bond in the Dorchester County Detention Center following a bail review Monday.
Skinner is charged with attempted first-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
He ie scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Dorchester County District Court on Dec. 20.
