Choptank Electric Cooperative will look to change bill for accessible internet

ANNAPOLIS — Bills to allow electric utilities to lease fiber optic lines for internet service and change easement rules to allow them to do so brought Choptank Electric officials to Annapolis.

Sarah Dahl, general counsel for Choptank Electric Cooperative, outlined Choptank’s views on two bills that may be introduced during this legislative session to the Eastern Shore Delegation on Friday, Jan. 25.
