In a news release from the Dorchester County Council it was stated the order would be extended to “provide the County Council the necessary powers and resources to combat the threat the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has on public health and the safety and welfare of our citizens...”. Officials said the citizens and local businesses of Dorchester County should be commended for the measures taken to curb the spread of this disease and for their patience and support during this public health emergency.
