EASTON — The Mid-Shore Board of Realtors is supporting Dorchester’s Baywater Animal Rescue as part of the real estate group commitment to helping pets and protecting animals.
MSBR President Laura Anderson recently toured the Baywater Animal Rescue, a no-kill shelter that provides housing for Dorchester County dogs, cats and small animals.
Anderson said many of her realtor clients have pets, and she knows that many buyers take their pets into consideration when making a home purchasing decision.
“I love that the MSBR membership wanted to make sure pets were taken care of and this donation helps provide them with needed food and shelter,” she said.
Elena Gowe, executive director with Baywater Animal Rescue, talked to Anderson about programs at the shelter and all the work the volunteers do to help find the animals homes.
“We shelter and protect animals under our care as they wait to be adopted into forever homes. As a no-kill shelter, Baywater treats every life as precious and will never put an animal down due to space. We really appreciate the housing donation from Mid-Shore Board of Realtors,” said Gowe. “This donation will be used to help provide vital medical care, including spay and neuter surgery, for the pets at the shelter. Baywater is here to serve our local community, and we are so grateful to receive this generous support.”
The Mid-Shore Board of Realtors has over 600 Realtors and affiliates from Caroline, Dorchester, Queen Anne’s and Talbot counties.
