Hurlock Volunteer Fire Company presents Larry Dukes with an award

Hurlock Volunteer Fire Company leadership presents Larry Dukes with an award to honor 50 years of active duty.

HURLOCK — A Hurlock firefighter was commended for 50 years of service on Tuesday, April 20, at the town’s volunteer fire company monthly meeting.

Larry Dukes was presented a Golden Fireman’s Axe by the leadership of Hurlock Volunteer Fire Company in honor of 50 years of active duty to HVFC.

Dukes was also presented citations from the Maryland Legislature, Dorchester County Council, Mayor and Council of Hurlock, and HVFC.
