CAMBRIDGE — Dorchester County is one of three Maryland county with no confirmed COVID-19 cases as of Monday morning, March 23.

Dorchester, Kent, and Allegany counties remained free of reported cases of the new coronavirus in totals that are updated and made public on Maryland’s coronavirus website by 10 a.m. every weekday morning.

According to Dorchester County Health Department Public Information Officer Angela Grove, the statewide total of 288 cases was up from 149 cases on Friday morning, March 20.

Despite reports online on Saturday night, March 21, that a temporary employee of a Dorchester business tested positive for the new virus, Grove said Dorchester’s number remains at zero.
