CAMBRIDGE — Cambridge native and Acting Chief of the US Capitol Police Yogananda Pittman will deliver the commencement speech on Wednesday, May 26 at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School (CSDHS) in Cambridge.

The CSD Class of 2021 will hear remarks from Pittman, herself an alumnus of the school, who also attended St. Clair Elementary School, Maple Elementary School and Maces Lane Middle School before graduating in the Class of 1991.

Dorchester County Public Schools (DCPS) made the announcement on Monday, May 24, a week after announcing in-person graduation for the county's high schools.

C-SD Principal Jerome Stover said, “We are so excited and can’t wait to hear Chief Pittman in person; our seniors deserve to have a grand event, and I have a feeling Chief Pittman’s words will be very inspirational to our kids.”

The commencement ceremony will be livestreamed at https://townhallstreams.com/towns/dorchesterboe.
