With the growing demand to know and understand where your food comes from, University of Maryland Extension has developed a canning and food preservation component to our Grow It Eat It program. Classes provide a hands on learning experience for both beginners and advanced canners.
Workshop includes a class lecture, and hands on instruction for participants to make their own canned jam that they will bring home. The $20 fee includes lecture/instruction, and all the equipment and produce to process your own preserved jar. 100% of ticket sales goes back into the program.
