CHESTER — David Bennett Harvey, of Chester, MD, passed away on November 9, 2017, at his home. He was 81. Born on June 15, 1936, in North Linthicum, MD, the son of the late Ellwood Scott and Maxine Webber Harvey, he grew up in Linthicum.

David was a graduate of Glen Burnie High School, Class of 1955, and would marry his high school sweetheart, Elaine Ward, in 1957. He served in the Navy Reserves from 1954 to 1966. He would later become a steamfitter and the co-owner and President of Rogers Refrigeration Company in Temple Hills, MD. He retired in 2010.

David loved football, especially the Baltimore Colts, and he loved spending time with his two grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Elaine Ward Harvey, David is survived by his daughter, Paige Beck; son-in-law, Dave Beck; and two grandchildren: J.D. Beck and Erin Beck.
